Find Your Hive

You will be too much for some people. Those are not your people. And that’s okay. The point of life is not for everyone to love you, it’s for you to love yourself.

You cannot make everyone happy - you’re not supposed to. And no one can make you happy - or sad, or lonely, or insecure, or elated, or excited, or worthwhile - without your consent. No one can make you feel inferior without your consent - not your partner, not your friends, not your boss, not your siblings, not your parents.

If someone says you are too much to handle - too much to deal with, too far out there - and you’ve checked to make sure your side of the street is clean, that you’re being the best version of yourself possible, it’s time to walk away. Don’t let someone belittle you because you are too big for them.

Some people can’t handle you. Some people can’t hang. Find the people who can, the people who are excited to be around you, who can’t wait to spend time with you, who think you’re the bees knees, who love you. Those are your people. Boycott the rest.
