If you have, you’ll notice that there are little to no depictions of Black people within the images you find. This online world is reflective of a broader mindset in the UK, with more than half of Black British people feeling that they do not see their love stories represented in mainstream online spaces. Bumble wants to help change that.

This Black History Month, we are taking the first step to igniting change by celebrating Black love together with over 30 Black British voices who will be sharing unscripted reflections on what love means to them in #MyLoveIsBlackLove . Created in partnership with Metallic Inc and leading British voices, including Jourdan Dunn, George the Poet, Clara Amfo, Nicola Adams, MS Banks, David Whitely and many others, these stories focus on the joy of Black love. We hope these stories will open up the conversation about love within the Black community in the UK, whilst also exploring the many voices that make up the Black British identity.
