#BlackWomenBuilt: Bumble Wants To Help You Celebrate Black Women In Your Community

Bumble was created to give women the opportunity to make the first move — first in dating, and now in friendship and professional networking too. This February, for Black History Month, we’d like to help pay homage to black women who’ve made the first move, as exemplified by the star of our Super Bowl spot, tennis legend Serena Williams, who’s never taken ‘no’ for an answer.

We seek to empower our users (and even folks who are just learning about Bumble — you’re welcome too!) to celebrate black women ‘First Movers’ in your own communities, be that your college campus, neighborhood, or city.

Bumble wants to help you throw a party to mark Black History Month and celebrate what #BlackWomenBuilt, from the businesses black women entrepreneurs have grown from scratch, to the activist networks and causes that are the result of black women’s movement-building work. We want to help you salute unsung heroines and bold-faced names alike!

Apply here, and we’ll send party kits out to a select group of lucky winners, including $450 to fund your event, a planning guide, and decorations to help your #BlackWomenBuilt celebration stand out. The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 10th.
