Bumble Success Story: Monique + Casey
When did you match on Bumble?
In late November 2016.
How long did it take to meet up after matching? What did you do for your first meet up/date?
Monique: It took 2 weeks for us to finally meet up. We went to brunch late on a Sunday morning followed by walking to a local holiday tradition in the downtown area called Christmas in the Park. It was Casey's first time - he had only moved to the Bay Area 9 months prior. We ended the date by going ice skating!
Monique, what was the first message you sent on Bumble?
I think I just said something like "hey", LOL.
Casey, what was your first reply back?
I replied with a little bit more about myself and asked her about one of her photos.
Monique, how did this match feel different?
It felt more serious then the others just by the responses he was sending me.
Casey, how did this match feel different?
She was the most beautiful woman I'd seen. She had a sweetheart personality that shone through in her photos. I matched with her and had to find out if we'd hit it off.
Monique, what was your first impression of Casey? How did you feel before the first date?
My first impression was how handsome he was (and still is) :). Before the first date I was feeling hungry for the brunch! I was also feeling nervous - he was my first Bumble date!
Casey, what was your first impression of Monique? How did you feel before the first date?
My first impression was she was beautiful. Her subtle, shy smile was extra cute and her personality was unique in how sweet and compassionate she was.
What do you consider a unique aspect of your relationship now?
Monique: He was and still is one of the best relationships I've ever been in. He's genuinely sweet and compassionate. I can tell him anything without feeling judged by him.
Casey: That we don't and have never had a fight. We both think or feel the same way on so many little things that normally could start a tiff.
Where are you now? Where are you headed in the future? (Traveling, next steps, etc.)
Currently we're in OUR apartment :). We both have busy schedules - moving in made sense so that way we could spend quality time together. We have 2 upcoming trips we're both extremely excited about: Hawaii in August and Rome in early December for our 1 year anniversary!
